GEORGIE ALICE MUSIC PORTFOLIO
BA Music Degree
Having been classically trained from the age of 4 years old, Georgie Alice has always had a natural love of music. She moved to Sri Lanka at the age of 14, which introduced her to different styles of music.
After achieving her music degree in the UK, Georgie Alice then returned to Sri Lanka and started to work alongside Redfox Music, with Pasan Liyanage. Together they reached the top of the charts in the Sri Lankan No.1 radio station and won two Homegrown awards. The first track, Give me More, won best production (songwriter/singer/composer). The second, Hold Your Hands, won ‘Best Song Writing’ (songwriter/singer/composer/co-producer).
During this experience, she also began building her own company, Georgie Alice Music and started composing for TV commercials, which she continues to do today.
Now back in the UK, her music career has most certainly grown. Georgie Alice composed two classical pieces, ‘Moonlight’ and ‘Moonlight II’, which were chosen to be played on ‘BBC Introducing’ and are now featured on BBC Sounds playlists and BBC Radio 3.
She is currently working alongside opera singers from the Welsh National Opera House and successfully composing orchestral projects for their performances in the future.
